Mitsubishi burger, $16, The Bottom End, 579 Little Collins Street, city, 9629 3001.
There's kitsch of the highest order to be found at the Bottom End, a ''pub-disco-diner'' that opened last year. With its mock celebrity photo endorsements, titillating ''art'' and an eclectic playlist, there's plenty to like. They do take the food seriously here, though, and among the plethora of Americana-Mexicana fare is the Mitsubishi burger - one of seven options. A just-right brioche bun encases shredded wakame and a thick chicken katsu patty topped with a generous splodge of wasabi mayo. It's served with a small ramekin of pickled ginger and, rather than the standard fries, whole edamame. Delightfully different.
A$16 buys alot of burger from Maccas.
