There's no problem with him driving his own car, it's completely understandable if you want to save on petrol though

Hell yes, I would be down for that! Or even a weekend cruise to Adelaide and do their hills for a while haha
Should be a great event, just got to get everybody to come now
Mat, just to confirm that me and my friend (Subaru Liberty) are definitely good for the day. We will be taking the Skenes Creek Road detour, neither of our cars can go off road (I think Jason210493 is in the same boat). Go figure, rally inspired cars that can't go off road!!
Now we only need the weather to be on our side.
Weekend cruise is a great idea, needs to be planned anally well.

If there has been a bit of rain in the area the dirt road is very good. Its not a normal dusty dirt road most of it is forest floor and its conditions change many times. It is a single lane road until around 3/4 of the way through and opens up to a very wide road.
For people taking the surfaced road, you will end up with around 10-15mins to spare as you have the higher speed limit and the road is not as demanding as the dirt road. You miss out on a few things but thats the trade off.
The one thing the surfaced road has that the dirt road dont is a very steep incline that many cars struggle getting through. I think it was either 20 or 30degree hairpin incline with blind corners. Smooth road though as its not long been finished

Bump for anybody who hasn't seen this yet
I think we'll just leave Apollo Bay a bit earlier than our asphalt loving friends
