What a Bummer mate sorry to read that  where and when did it happen? I don't remember getting hail anywhere near me.

How is hail damage repaired? Is it covered by insurance?

It happened throughout Vic but worst was northern suburbs. By the time it moved down to my area (clifton hill) it was relatively smaller but still had about marble sized hail.

Damn Alex..sucks to hear..especially on your relatively new Ralliart.

It's happened to me in the past. Nowadays I always have large pieces of carpet/rug that I can place on my car just in case.

Yeah its pretty annoying in that I normally have my car garaged but due to having a christmas party yesterday, we needed that garage space so I had to move my car outside.

I also think the mistake I did was as soon as I saw the hail I drove my car under a bridge just down the road and the simple fact that my car was moving for that short period of time made it worse. Didn't realise hail does more damage to a moving car than a stationary car.

lodging the claim - less then 10 minutes. Waiting on hold - 1 hour and 15 minutes

yay what fun

I think we probably came out lucky. The girl on the insurance line was saying that some guy got hit by cricket ball sized hail stones

c'est la vie...

Great action pic there! definitely looks like it's been through hell and back.

This was mine last night, we backed it into the carport after the first hail storm. Up the hill and through a tight corner. Didnt think we would make it. Too late by then anyway i reckon... ah well

Anyone see the sky afterwards though? Was all red and stuff...

There was a hail storm a year or so ago that got my vrx, after lengthy wait on hold and a inspection to make sure it was repairable, it got a lavish "paintless dent removal" treatment.

They are very good, removing your roof lining, tapping out all dints ( I had a large dint right in the dead centre very front of my roof), down inside you pillars, doors, under boot/bonnet linings.

You could never tell my car went through the hail storm afterwards. Worst part was the five days without my car......
