Heya, check out the website below.

In regards to using this to black out your front bumper, it would be a bit of a task. Firstly, you'd need to mask out your front bumper black area extremely well. Secondly, for optimal results, you'll need a contained area so that the plasti-dip doesn't pick up dust or any other particulars. This is probably made more difficult by the time that it takes. You'll probably have enough in one can to do the black out, roughly 4 sprays, about 30 mins each spray but then left for a good number of hours (say overnight) for things to set.
Comparing the price of $30+ per can, to a couple of dollars for the vinyl. The only difference is that you'll have to clean up some adhesive if you remove the vinyl.
I thought about it, but it's not worth the trouble. Just get black out vinyl.

i wanted to go with plasti dip because of the reversibility and it didn't seem that hard. i found two links with step by steps :

the other thing you have to remember is that we pay about 5x time the price for a can compared to the US. They can get cans for US$5-8, where as we pay AU$30+ per can...
Luke, club sponsor, can get you a vinyl strip for a third of the price and if you take it off, you just need to give it a good clean up.

I used plastidip 1yr ago on front bumper and top grill and surrounds and was the one who saw it mentioned on a US site and posted it up here on these forums. Many prefer vinyl due to cost.
The thread I started in the Exteriors section has my details on how to after i sought advice from US members who had done it and a link to my pics which is on page 4 of the thread.

I FIND YOUR LACK OF FAITH DISTURBING......
Ah yes I remember that thread now!
Finally found a link for the distributors here in QLD: http://www.plastidip.net.au/find-a-dist ... queensland
Hmm, you reckon I would need two cans for at least 4 coats for my rear bumper?

You can also get it from the local disty's ebay shop: http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Plastidip-Australia__W0QQ_armrsZ1
But... the spray is highly flammable and difficult/expensive to bring into Australia. I settled for a regular old can of paint, some thinners and a brush and it worked just as well.

This place has the black in stock: Mitchell Engineers Supplies in Hornsby 9482 1811. We ordered a can last week and are getting it delivered by courier - for us it was cheaper and way easier than driving all the way to Hornsby!!! It can't be posted coz it's flammable.
