BlueVRX wrote:^ I also know the roads since i travel between sydney and jervis bay regularly

Just a matter of staying on the freeway instead of going through the Burbs at 6 islands road since they finished the new section of freeway at Kiama that nice little section of road is gone but after Kiama it's still nice

I'll be aiming to have as much coastal road as possible, because freeway is plain old boring.

Also, please make sure to get your votes in too!

The 11th should be fine for me, and pretty flexible if it ends up being on the 17th.

Hey guys, I'm a newbie so I'll just sit in the back corner and let you veterans sort it out.

I'm keen for a short cruise, I'm easy on the times and dates (if weekend, it's all good).

Question: how many of you guys have CBs and bring them along to cruises? I got those small $50 ones from Repco or Supercheap - should I bother? Otherwise I'll just be abusing truckies in the immediate area... ;)

That last part I don't think you should be doing...
One it's against Club CJ policy
Two there is enough clowns on UHF without you being on it
Even if you are joking about it, it ain't funny... We have enough crap to put up with without listening to your stupidity

Sorry for being off topic but our industry (transport) we put up with stupidity on a daily basis and we have had enough and we deserve the respect that our industry lacks
Mine's quicker then yours!!!

It's been a while!

Please tell me where the use of CB radios is against the Policy, we actually encourage members to bring CB radios on cruises to aid in direction giving and managing a large group of cars through traffic.

most of the ppl on my cruises use cb`s, but i just get ignored anyway, heh.

i`d recommend 2 watts minimum in the mountains.

You can use CBs/UHFs
Just in the manner you use them is another story

How our is the use of them wrong, we use a free CB channel either 14 or 18 and change if we encounter someone else. We stay away from using channel 19 and 40 which are the most common trucking channels.

I listen to Channel 40 quite a bit and I find the truckies tend to chat alot about what they plan to do on the weekend with the occasional call of a candy car (police car) or the scalies/mermaids (RTA weigh station) being set up somewhere.
