Do like Germany and put everyone in decent cars not those cheap old crap commonhores and falcoons, and make them sit a driver education course that puts them in different situations, look at their death toll. And they have the autobarn

Not only P Platers.

Those from foreign contries with foreign license go straight to Full License after passing the test. I know cause I was one of those. But that is somewhat ok... cause we atleast took the test and we passed.

The worse ones are those with foreign licenses who are NOT permanent residents (working visas, student visas, etc)... they are not obliged to have an Australian License to drive.. they can keep on using their foreign license, so we have drivers on the road who hasn't even seen what an RTA office looks like.

If ever they are caught with a violation they will have to pay the fine and ofcourse the corresponding points will be putt on their record and will be deducted as demerit points ONCE they are oblige to get a license (after obtaining permanennt residency in Australia) and they pass the test and get one... but until that time they can keep accumulating one violation after another, no cancellation of license cause there is nothing to cancel.

yeah, driving instructors should be mandatory. I learnt so much more after having lessons with an instructor, there are so many little things your parents dont know.

I also think learning manual should be mandatory haha :P

A grey one was seen by a colleague this morning on Mt OUsley - so they are definitely not all white...

Haha, my folks gave me a few lessons then refused to teach me, my mum told me I had to get an instructor, so I paid for almost all my lessons, cost me a fortune

I have a feeling we are being played for suckers, here........

We are told by the RTA that the "Mobile Speed Camera Cars" are white ......

what if they are deploying "fake" MSCC's in other colours ?

i.e. - made to look like the real thing, but aren't ?????

A friend of mine just posted this on FB, it's the Mobile Speed Camera roster

http://media.dailytelegraph.com.au/file ... Sydney.htm

i know this was for last week but then it would definitely mean that there is an version somewhere that would be constantly updated which we could check if we want to on a week to week or daily basis depending or the need.

It will also give us maybe an idea on how to forecast future rosters, a trend will definitely develop. Based on this one my immediate area is safe, the closest one would be Car Number 6 near my home and Car Number 1 on our weekly visit to my in-laws.

Ive driven on 4 of the roads that they claim the speed cameras are and i havent seen a thing. Maybe they are focusing on the City and not soo much the country

My brother claims the he say a Subaru Forester GT as a Mobile Speed Camera (but he is a Richard Cranium  :P)

Car No. 6 seems to like the Wollongong area (seems to like sticking to the most congested roads around here), so they aren't just doing the Sydney area. But I'd say they aren't looking at road safety at all, rather just the volume of traffic going through the area and how many unlucky people they are going to snap.

I guess eventually they might head out your way into woop woop.

Funniest thing is, the deadliest road around the S/W sydney-Wollongong region is Picton Rd but it's not on the list of areas for the cameras. Now try telling me this is all about safety....

That would be Mount Ousley Rd/F6 Freeway and not Appin Road.
