Which dealer do you service at?

Postby Advv » Sun Mar 13, 2011 10:59 am

Hey guys,

Just wondering where you guys get your car serviced at? Mine's due for the 30000km. The previous owner told me to go to Alto instead of Lincorp as Alto gave her a cheaper price for the first service. What do you guys think? I was really happy with Alto's service with their sales but not sure about their servicing.

Any advice would be great.

Cheers!

I service mine at Northshore Mitsubishi - though it doesn't matter much as there's capped price servicing?

I go to alto at pennant hills, mitusbishi now have there own servicing dept unlike before they shared it with Toyota (which was never a problem anyway)

I just had the 15000 service not long ago and had
No probs, fixed price and car was ready at the time promised.

Capped price servicing is only for cars sold from a particular date. Cars before that date will have varying service prices.

Ah I see, Thought the capped pricing applied to all CJs along with their warranties. When did you purchase your car?

Yeah Danny's right. The previous owner bought the car near the end of 2009 and missed out on the capped price servicing.

^ Ditto. I asked/complained about this and they said it's because it's factored into the price of the newer models.

As much as I didn't like the service on the day, they're still conveniently located for me so I might go back.

Update: (tip for people who don't have capped price servicing)

Steve Jarvin tried to charge me $240.

Alto said $170 (you get 10% off if you book online)

So roughly 150. They also said I could bring my own oil and filter which would deduct 47.50$ + 13 (roughly). They use Magnatec Castrol Professional 15w-40.

I went out and bought some Penrite everyday 10w-40 for $51 (wasn't on sale) and a ryco filter $13 (no K&N). With 10% off, it came to 58$ which is slightly less than how much Alto would've charged me but with better oil. I'm not saying Alto is a rip or anything... They're prices are excellent, it's just that I wanted to use Penrite.

So I expect to be paying around 90$ for the service bringing my own oil/filter.

Cheers
