With uni/TAFE/CA exams over, and hopefully with enough time before Christmas, the date has been set and after much deliberation, a location chosen.
WHAT?: Edge-Racing/AUSCA Summer Meet
WHEN?: 8pm on Saturday 11th December 2010
WHERE?: Eastwood Carpark- rooftop (enter via Glen St; near Retravision)
For those using a GPS, look up 31 Glen St, Eastwood. Refer to: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&sour ... 17,,0,7.02
From experience, this carpark is low-car friendly but I make no guarantees.
WHO?:
Anyone is welcome to attend and bring their friends however I do request that if you are bringing someone who is not familiar with our clubs/culture, that they respect the behaviour guidance below.
BACKUP PLAN:
In the event that it rains or there is bad weather, we can move downstairs to the undercover/ground-floor carpark (entrance on Lakeside Rd near the 5-way roundabout; there is no direct ramp from the rooftop levels down to the ground foor). Note that this area is popular with families/children so for courtesy, I recommend we move to the back of the carpark away from the entrance if we move down this way.
RULES:
This is a public carpark/location and as such it must be emphasised that we are at the mercy of the local authorities. Whilst no doubt there will be attention, the basic rules are:
- no (excessive) revving
- no (excessive) loud music
- no donuts/drifting/other kinds of 'hoon' behaviour in or near the meet
- no antisocial behaviour
If one of the admins/mods from either Edge-Racing or AUSCA approaches you with regards to behaviour, please follow our recommendations for the good of the clubs involved. If you observe antisocial behaviour, please let one of the admins/mods know as we will be maintaining a Name&Shame list.
It should also be remembered that if we are moved to the undercover carpark, there are lots of families/children around and we'll need to keep safety of the public in mind.
Any questions? If you are attending, please update the Facebook events page so we can keep track of numbers > http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=143546535694290
Hopefully we will also get some great photographs from the Summer night.
Don't be shy to attend Everyone is friendly and if you're interested, please RSVP via the Facebook invite. This way if there are any issues or urgent changes last minute we can send out a message easily.
Cheers
