I'm a huge skeptic about all of this. I don't see how it could possibly be cost effective and marketing teams fail to mention that the production of battery powered engines far out way the damage to the environment than the fuel emissions of a a 6Liter v8 over 5 years.

The wheel base looks very long but not very wide so I would have questions about handling as well.

I do kind of like the side skirts and some of the body work on that picture and the idea of 350 hp at the wheels sounds impressive.

Having said all this I didn't pay much attention to what i was reading after seeing hybrid.

Don't concentrate on it too hard.
Concept pics always have hugeeee wheels and are squished and stuff. Wouldn't be suprised if its hugely toned down visually (essentially an evo X with different bumpers, bonnet and spoiler).
They haven't said its a new chassis right?

I'll expect a shinier evo X, that way i'll be suprised if its not :D

And as it says, its not some fairypants hybrid. Its more like a 2 engine car.

Or are evo's going to be the new family car? :D

I like the idea of saving fuel but this will be a bitch to keep long term.

Imagine the cost of replacing all those batteries when they go bad, then add the cost of new clutch disks for the SST.

Maybe the fuel saving will outweigh the cost of new batteries but then wouldn’t you be back at square one?

I think resale will be horrible when the car gets to its major service and instead of crooks pinching stereos they will be pinching batteries lol.

One things for sure this thing is going to be obese.

@Whitemonster- you should have seen the S2000 that was sitting next to that on the JS stand so hot.

As for this, interesting but it wont work and its all pointless cause as it has been pointed out by numerous people untill we get energy from a clean source we are just going around in circles, as for performance with figures like that it will prob end up like that American Tesla yeah it will be fast and go like stink but it will only run for 2 hours then require 8 hours of charging or something along those lines which is again pointless.

If it works and looks good then we will give it a go, but it's a while off yet and we will wait and see. Keep in mind Mitso have never really made a bad EVO, unlike Subaru :)

Evo 7=bad, not just from the styling point of view but it also had a terrible centre diff and numerous other mechanical and electrical faults, so one bad car but they can be forgiven for that minor indiscretion lol

Yeah fair call, i guess Subaru have generally been mechanical sound apart from the lastest one, it's just the looks they got totally wrong.
