I was wondering why there was that loud sound until you said it's injectors, I youtubed similar turbo conversions and they had it as well. Seems to be a normal thing?

Looking good though! Have you had a run with the turbo on yet? Post a vid of a run up when you can (make sure it's safe, lol)! I'd love to see how this goes.
Crayon Pop "straight-five engine" dance ftw.

Actually it's not fine. If something happens and you have vacuum leak from the BOV or gauge or any of the T connections you will loose your brakes!

Look in my thread how I used a standalone location on IM, so it's not messing with anything else.

I'll check out all the boost/vac lines when I see it ... but yeah brake boost you want to leave untouched.
You could remove the PCV line from the rocker cover and use that (and make it emissions illegal, but hey it already is!) or yes most people for boost gauges etc tap the boost/vac line going to the fuel pressure regulator

Your brake "booster" uses vacuum as LiX said. Think about it - all NA cars are always in vacuum. and when you are braking, a turbo car is in vacuum (well, most of the time!). it will work just fine that way, but if that tee pops off you have no assisted brakes... try rolling along at 100kmh in any car and turn off your engine and see how hard it is to brake :)

I'll get my ass out there at some point very soon and make sure it is all safe.

with any lines near the turbo - it gets super hot back there. heat shield, reflective tape, anything you can do to protect the lines. and keep a very close eye on everything back there to check nothing is melting over the next few months!!

BAD NEWS......

Went for a tune. Everything on the tune was going great. fueling, air, timing, boost, etc

Only thing that happend was a Intercooler pipe popped off.. (normal)

We set everything to run safe. Left from tuning,

Literally 500 metres, came on boost in 2nd gear.

BANG!!!! CRUNCH CRUNCH...........

Pulled over and.....

GAME OVER.....

Thats a leg out of bed. Did it do it both side of the block?

Many things could of caused it
Detonated
Over boosted
bad internals
My guess is you will never really find out the sole cause as this kind of damage destroys everything. Would of been great if it was logging
Or my fav is a Gremlin. Every car has a tiny gremlin that shows its head every now and then.

But Playing with this type of thing its just a " roll of the dice" and shit happens. Dont dwell on it too long or it will just make you feel like shit.

Yeah, my guess is it had a boost spike some how or bad internals.. Because even if i over boosted for 1 second. it should pop a rod through the block ?

I had a boost spike in my turbo hilux on full tit. Bend to rods and the crank. Rod was so bend the piston was kissing the crank on its way down. But being a toyota the block survived and the crank was re-machine straight

Depends on how big the spike was. did it happen at WOT. Add in the tune and well margin for error is very high
