Background
I'm going to bring this back again. There's been quite alot of interest on replica Evo X CF wings and replica Evo X Bonnets. This will still require numbers
It seems the supplier who provided us the replica Evo X CF wings is also able to supply the bonnets! They're the ones that make it! *slap forehead in disbelief*
Here is the Evo X replica wing:
a. Evo X CF Wing (1 piece) VERSION 1 (Made in Taiwan)
The design is essentially a rip off of the Seibon wing and from what the manufacturer is telling me comes from the same factory.
I know RRM are retailing the Seibon version for US$520.
He has also offered a new version which has the CF material wrapped around as opposed to the previous one which had it black finish on the underside and the CF material look only on the top.
Some people on this forum have this wing and they can vouch for the quality of it. I've not had any problems regarding this wing and would say it's the nicest one I've brought in. Second only perhaps to the X-Factor ones which are more OEM looking.
But if you want one that screams, this may be the one for you.
b. The Evo X Replica bonnet (Made in Taiwan)
NOT PAINTED.
Tooling was done from an original bonnet, so all OEM fitment and insulation parts will be mountable apparently.
Here are some completely different pictures to those supplied RibbendsJM:
I think his supplier CustomStreet FX is asking for A$850 for the bonnet .
I think I'll comfortably beat his A$850 delivered to you price.
c. LED Tail Lamps
These can also be sourced from the same supplier as the Evo X wing and Bonnet. So anyone who wants a set, I could pull it into the deal.
You know what these look like.
d. Evo X Replica Bodykit
Here's a picture to wet the appetite. More details soon... .
Material : ABS Plastic
Price : A$1000 for set.
No quote yet for seperately sold sets.
Bodykits come UNPAINTED!!
Front Bar->A$500
Rear Bar->A$500
Pricing (ballpark to follow)
Evo X Wing CF look on Top only ~ A$440
Evo X Wing CF all over ~ A$480
Evo X Bonnet complete with all vents ~ A$650
LED Tail Lights ~ A$300

Just a few general question that i'm sure others would have....
Are these bonnets going to come painted, or unpainted or just what is displayed above?
What material are these bonnets?
As for the LED lights, what brand and are the exact same ones you did a bulk bulk or other?

Easy enough to just get the panel beater that did my rear bar to paint it for me.
Hmm... or do I splurge on some subtle airbrushing....

Wow some real night birds here.
@ Pete: They come primed. Not painted. So you need to do your own painting. Yes the tail lights are the same brand as what we did in the first group buy. The original ones. Not copies.
@ Ribbands JM: I suspect they come from the same supplier / source.
The thing is that since I am NOT a company, I will definitely beat CSFX in terms of price. i.e. by removing his profit margin.
@kimerik: Here's where I'm going to have some problem giving exact pricing. It will be the first time I'm importing such expensive items via sea freight. So the costing of GST and customs clearances are unknowns.
I'm hoping you guys will take the plunge with me so I can get this experience and perhaps move on to bringing in bodykits and etc via this route.
I suspect despite the increased admin costs, the shipping costs will come right down and balance it out.
Dont' wait around though please.
Just ballpark, you'll be looking at :
Bonnet < A$750
Wing < A$480
Tail Lamp < A$370
I will definitely get the 3 items to you for less than their current RRP. So ball park if you have about A$1500, I should be able to get it done.
To everyone else, I realise it's abit hard to guess what pricing will be like but unlike a company, I will not need to make any cuts of profit. So you will definitely get it cheaper than RRP.
It's a chicken and egg question for me.
You want to know the real cost of shipping but I won't know till I have the full order sitting in front of me. So long as you're willing to pay the current RRP, I will be saving you something on top of that. Else there's no point for the group buy.

Ofey I am interested in the bonnet. I'll take one if the delivered cost are under a $1000.
I would like to know the quality of the bonnet. What type of steel is the bonnet made from? Is it high tensile galvanised coated? When we fit it to the car are the gaps going to be the same as original and even?
Cheers Troy

@Troy: As you can appreciate, we will be buying blind. No one on this forum has one. I can only go on what the supplier tells me.
The tooling was done from an original evo bonnet.
fitment he says is 100% accurate.
I will have to ask about the steel type. didn't think to ask about it.
I can guarantee at this point it will be delivered to you for < A$850, else it would not make sense to organise this group buy. Way better to buy from RibbendsJM's proposed supplier.

@Doug: About 1mth by sea to me. then within the week, I'll dispatch out to each state or individually. Best if I can group similar states together. Is that an EOI from you?
@Ray: Acknowledged.

Mainly for ofey and others too....
As a VERY rough guide what to expect.... when I got my exhaust and the retailer engaged the wrong freight product (it was all sorted in the end).
Instead of getting a full service door to door courier company (like DHL or FEDEX, Bax global, etc as I had expected) and paid for - they engaged a freight forwarding company, which just involves forward the freight from one location to an "agent" in another....
The agent has title over the goods until freight AND admin/tax/duty charges are paid before releasing the items....
Snippet of emails with the agent at the time...
---------------------------
As discussed, pls see charges below.
Terminal Fee: AUD55.00 (airport)
Intl Documentation Fee: AUD45.00(airline)
Forwarding retention: AUD10.00 (ours)
Cargo Automation Fee: AUD20.00(ours)
Intl terminal Fee: AUD40.00(airline)
Customs management: AUD10.00(ours)
Customs Clearance entry: AUD55.00(ours)
All above charges are subject to GST and do not include any duty/tax/quarantine charges.
-------------------------------------------
So, that's $235 for the one Master Airway Bill.. (MAWB)
I'd only guess the Terminal fee would be the one that might vary due to size/bulk/weight of the parcel.....
Of course the'd be GST on top of the total value of the items.
As you can see, if we were to split the shipments into <$1000 lots and use a freight fowarder, you'd be charged all those fee for each and every bundle of items under each MAWB.
Of course the other option is to see if using a full service courier like DHL, FEDEX, etc and split in bundles of <$1000 and see if that might be a cheaper option over all... as we'd avoid GST and those duties, but probably pay for it in higher freight cost (actually the duties above are covered by courier company's fees - anyway...)

@Pete: Yes I'm fully aware of all the niggly charges. I have spoken to my freight fowarder who will be doing all of it for a fixed fee.
Do realise though with the bonnets it makes more sense to go by sea.
Could people who are posting on this thread please make clear IF this is an EOI or query.
Make sure you have funds to do this, else DO NOT EOI at all.
2ndly, I think it's only fair that those who hop on at the end need to pay a premium to cover those who have EOI-ed at the start and got this to move.
I'm suggesting that all those who hop on at the end will pay a 5% buy in premium. This will be used to offset the costs for those who have EOI-ed and paid up from the start.
