So I've been told that if you go for servicing at any Mitsubishi dealer, they can wipe A$17.50 off the bill for your oil filter and A$55 if you brought your own 5L bottle of compatible engine oil.

So transporting Engine oil and bulk buying it may be abit hard but for the oil filters, now that's much easier.

I've also been informed that Mitsubishi may choose to void your engine warranty if you use any other oil filter besides a Mitsubishi one
I'd like to hear from you about this if you have a more definitive answer but apparently that's what I've heard. I've always wanted to put a K&N oil filter in but don't dare to now.

For those who don't care for K&N Filters though and think the stock ones are ok, here is the group buy for it.

I want to do this prior to the National Meet so State Mods can carry the stuff back to you and really make this a REAL saving for all of you.

For convenience, would it be an idea to buy some sump gaskets 14mm rings part of the GB. They only cost around $1.68 (MD050317) , so no saving there. Perhaps it might be a bit too dicky to ship around? Saves the trouble of having to take a trip to the dealership anyway?

For a normal service your dealeer will take off charge of A$17 if you bring in your own oil filter and sump plug. You can get a genuine Mitsubishi oil filter for A$13.20?

Just FYI so everyone knows, here's what dealership mechanics will take off:
Engine Oil = A$50
Engine Flush = A$32
Oil Filter + Sump Plug = A$17
Coolant & Break Fluid Dot 5/6 = A$32

I will take one of each filter and sump plug washer too

.....and if you do the oil change yourself, my dealer took around $200 off. So there's mega saving in itself guys!

Any idea on how much shipping to Queensland will be Ofey?

I'll probably get 2 or 4 filters.

Just want to see if it will still be worth while or not.

@Zedd82: They will not be shipped. They will be handed to your state mod : Sleeper who is coming for the National Cruise. He will be carrying it back to QLD. So long as you're near him, I think you can rule out postage.
