Foreword
After the last few months of mess, we're back with a new group buy.
Please do not use this thread to debate the methods of the group buy.
I, your Chief Buyer has handled over A$50,000 of this club's funds. Never once letting you down so I ask you trust my methods and keep this simple. And furthermore restore trust and integrity in the club and its principles.

If you wish to debate your participation in the group buy or need to feel safer by some other money sending mechanism, please PM one of the admins and we will make special arrangements for you.

Background
Recent months has seen the rise of the number of coilovers installed on various member cars. After much discussion and deliberation, we have concluded that the best value for money purchase are BC Coilovers.

Profile of BC:
Bor Chuann Taiwan are the major player in suspension market and have been manufacturing coilovers for many tuning companies. They've been doing this since 1989.

In short, the much discussed Pedders Extreme Coilovers are made by BC and a BC equivalent retails for A$400 less! Additionally, they come with pillow-ball camber plates which would cost a further A$200 more with Pedders.

The Long and the Short of it
We will be offering any BC coilover of your choice (V1, BR, RM & ER) in this group buy.
There are a couple of options but primarily, we suggest these for the Lancer:

The BC Coilovers for CY4A Lancer 07-on are:
BR Type (Gold)
SKU No: B - 19 - RA
RRP= A$1299

These come fitted with:
Spring Rate Front = 8Kg / cm
Spring Rate Rear = 6Kg / cm
30 Position Damper Adjuster
Flexible Reach Adjuster for Rear Shocks.
Adjustable Pillow-Ball Camber Plate on Front Shocks.

These are the direct equivalent of the Pedders Extreme XA with the benefit of having the pillow-ball camber plates included in the price.

SAM-24A wrote:When you price compare the two brand options, the BC's far outweigh the Pedders, especially when you keep in mind, that the BC's are the originals and the Pedders are Licensed Copies supplied by BC for Pedders.

These retail at A$1,299.00. I have been informed that Hens Performance in NSW can provide you these at A$1,250.00.

Pricing
I have spoken to the local supplier of these and have negotiated a price under A$1,250.00 per set delivered. Though we will need a minimum purchase number to achieve that price.

You will also need to set aside A$250+ for installation and wheel alignment if not DIY.

Can I please see a show of hands whom would like to commit to a serious expression of interest in purchasing a set of these?
The size of the discount is dependent on numbers so please don't ask me what the final price will be. All I know is that they will be lower than A$1250.00 delivered

Hey Lee whitemonster,

BC make two upright types to suit the EVO-X (CZ4A)

1) BR Type: which are identical to the BR for the NA Lancers, but with 2kg heavier Front Spring Rates,
Front=8kg,
Rear=8kg.
Part No: B-20-RA
Price=$1299
http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19268&cat=0&page=1

2) ER Type: these are for serious track work and incorporate an external reservoir which holds more oil volume to keep the operational temps down and allow for finite tuning.
Also Heavier Spring Rates than the BR Type mentioned in (1).
Front=10kg
Raer=8kg
Part No: B-20-ER
Price=$1699
http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=19167&cat=0&page=1

If all your doing is Spirited Road Driving then the BR Type will suffice.
Hope this info helps.

Regards: Sam

Before I commit to a serious EOI can you give an estimation on when you would expect to go ahead (I appreciate that numbers interested will affect this), so I can work out whether I can afford this without upsetting the wife
