Since there was much interest in the Custom Scuff Plate Vinyls Our good friend Mr. JazzyB has been kind enough to offer his services. JazzyB has access CNC machinery which will have the ability of making a limited run of Custom Aluminium Scuff Plates.

There is no price on these, Nor any date. This is simply an EOI thread and when and If they go into production a price and release date will be announced.

Here are some renderings of the possible outcome. Note, these will be much shinier when actually produced.

These dont have to be in your username, as you can tell by the pictures. They can be a nickname, your actual name or the name of your car. Whatever you like. Within reason of course.

Now, again, there is no estimate price on this, and there is no estimated release date on this. Depending on the EOI will help get a ball park figure on pricing and release date.

Of course there will be a prototype made up first for fitment and other purposes. Once it has been made and fitted, pictures will be uploaded on what it looks like on and off the car and then we can start production of them shortly there after given the support which i hope it has.

Now im personally hoping that these will cost less to produce than the OEM LANCER that is avaliable to us for the price of A$112.00 through ofey.

This thread was posted on behalf of JazzyB. If you have any questions about the scuff plates or options, please discuss it with him, he will be able to answer your questions better than I can.

Now, Can I get a show of hands?

That is an awesome idea speedie! +1 mate!!

JazzyB designed these on autocad i assume, and since i dont have it i cant really change it to see what it would look like but i rekon it would be fairly easy for jazzy to change it for us to see what it looks like.

Top idea mate, ill add you to the list =)

I rekon it would be quite unique to have custom scuff plates avaliable in the ClubCJ store. I think it should only be avaliable to premium members though. Dont want people coming in and just buying stuff willy nilly now do we.

Just as an idea for pricing wise...(THESE ARNT REAL PRICES)

ClubCJ Engraved Aluminium Scuff Plates Set of 4 $59
ClubCJ Engraved Aluminium Scuff Plates Set of 2 $39

Custom Engraved Aluminium Scuff Plates Set of 4 $99
Custom Engraved Aluminium Scuff Plates Set of 2 $79

Custom ones obviously more expensive. NOTE, THOSE ARNT REAL PRICES DONT GET EXCITED :P

Edit: Hahahahah nice work bd-850. Good to see your support!

so i assume it will be cut all they way through? make a bugger to keep clean but still awsome, will be great if we can get them cheaper than factory ones.

What we were actually thinking was this, ill try to do this step by step.

1. A sheet of aluminium is cut and shaped to the size of the door sill
2. Plate is then engraved with username and decal stripes
3. The entire scuff plate will be then painted black, or colour of preference (we will have to see on that one)
4. Then it will then go into the machine again to machine off the top layer of paint. Only leaving the "username and stripes" in black, and the rest in a brushed or polished aluminium finish.

Thats my understanding.

Okay sweet.

Ozie, if you see this, what is your opinion? ClubCJ Scuff plates?

you could probably just use enamal in the grooves instead of doing the whole plate then removing what you don't need.

Jazzyb probley knows what enameling is, but speedie, or anyone else for that matter, can you explain to little old tads on what it is and what it involves?

Added you to the EOI list, thanks scott =)
