Background
The benefits of Dynamat is pretty straight forward. It greatly reduces road noise and increases SPL from your speakers. I have put half a pack into the boot - before I knew this was going on... - and it has done wonders already.

Group Buy
There has been a Dynamat Xtreme bulk pack group buy organised for anyone who would like to get involved. Depending on stock you will recieve either the Bulk pack or 3x door kits - both add up to 36sq ft.

At the moment prices will be based on numbers ( of course ) and stands at:

$210 for 10 packs.
$200 for 20 packs.

While this seems like a lot of people, it is being run over a few forums.

This buy is based out of Sydney. Packs are genuine Australian and are coming from FHRX studios in the Shire - not from flea bay or the like. Of course pick up is avaliable. :D
Postage is included in the PRICE.

Just for everyone's reference. The online guide to sound deadening was done here - Sound Deadener Showdown. The older version compared brands of mats, he's obviously changed alot in a year.

It's a great way to not only quieten your ride but by doing it, you really see what's behind all your panels. I did my whole car on a A$300 (delivered) shop pack of Damplifier from Second Skin in the US.

This deal offered for Dynamat is great as they're the best known brand on the market. If you're an audiophile or just want to reduce road noise, get some and do your doors first, you'll be amazed... .

So youd put this in the wheel arches to reduce road noise aswell?

I didn't.

I bought the K&H Spray on under body deadener and sprayed it over the existing sound deadening the car had there.

I only used the stick on, on the body of the car.

Sure can, I am slowly doing the car at the moment and ill post it up later on. Of all people my Mum commented how much better the road noise was with just the boot deadened. I only used half a bulk pack in there. The other half is currently going into the front doors.

Main reason why I got it was to reduce the road noise and it was worked a treat even only doing the boot. Adding some behind the rear seats on the wheel arches does help. Most of it went on the floor and on the metal sides of the boot. :D

Is FHRX also able to do the installations? Or will we need to organise this separately?

I've heard benefits of Dynamat and it's fantastic.

They would be able to but honestly dynamat is very easily to install, all you need is a ruler, permanent marker and a stanley knife and screw driver for removing the interior trim's pop clips.

Keep in mind though dynamat is heavy and will be adding weight to your car...

Yes if you wish FHRX can arrange installation. If you are concerned I can fire you an email detailing how to remove the door trims and all the components of the boot. Otherwise you can see most of it in the DIY section as well. If you would like to speak to Marty about costs fire him an email via www.fhrxstudios.com

The Bulk pack that I received weighted in at 11Kg with the box. So that is about 2.5Kg per front door and 5Kg for the boot :D

Adding to Ryans list you will also need a glove of some sort and electrical tape. Dyanamat can really cut your hands up if your not careful or dont have a roller. If you electrical tape the main 2 fingers that you will press it down with for tight spots and use a glove for the mains you will have not problems at all!

This is how I done my door - there is some on the inner skin as well. Note that it was with the door kit size sheets so you need 2 sheets for this where if you get the bulk pack you only need the one ( as they are bigger ).

Mid july...Hmm, I might be able to get into this, depends on my insurance...Gotta pay insurance end of july, probley have an idea how much moneys id have in the account.

Count me as an EOI, but about 40% sure i will go for this.

Quick question though....

At the moment prices will be based on numbers ( of course ) and stands at:

$210 for 10 packs.
$200 for 20 packs.

Why is 20 packs cheaper than 10 packs? can somebody just explain the difference between these? If i went for the 20 packs, would that do my whole car? eg boot, door pannels, fenders etc?
