*CLOSED* Lowering Springs Group Buy

Postby ofey » Mon Apr 20, 2009 1:27 pm

This group buy was inspired by this post on Project Lancer: "Ultimate Lowering Thread"

Any proposals? I'll start out and say I like the Eibach Pro-Kit or WORKS Ride Lowering Springs ones. I'm told the former improve turning handling and are very comfortable whilst the latter are give better balance to the car's overall contour but lack comfort.

I'll add to this thread and use some of the images they show there.

If you prefer any other ones or have other suggestions, please PM me or shout and I'll add it on to this post.

Once I can count a number of responses, I'll start a poll to decide which one we group buy.

*Order*:

a)Eibach Pro Kit (1.2" Front 0.8" Rear):
Just an update to this:

Eibach are supposed to be good, dont know about Works but I'd be inclined to stick with the major spring manufacturers. Might also want to check out Tein aswell??

I already have shitty king springs otherwise I'd be in for this! My word of advice would be steer clear of king springs though no matter what!!

Ive heard bad things about King Springs as well.

Eibach is a good brand from what I know though. I might be interested. Whats the price on this?

I don't know at present what the prices are since I don't know what numbers exist. It's the same in the exhaust post. Until I know how many of you want what, then I can go to a dealer and say, I want to buy X number of these springs, can you give me a group discount.

I'm voting Eibach Pro-Kit.

If each of us vote for one brand each, no group buy will exist. Sorry I can't please everyone.

My thoughts are that im not sure if 1" is an agressive enough drop for me

even at 1" you'll be scrapping on a few driveways. i wouldn't recommend any lower unless you want to be mucking around getting up driveways or over speed humps...

plus alot of insurance companies wont cover it if you drop any more than 30mm

Vote 1 for Eibach Pro-Kit

put me down they look good, and I'd rather still have a smooth ride.

I have King springs in my Magna and though theey handle ok the ride is a little harsh at times

I'm currently shopping around for prices on the Eibach kit. Will let you know what I can get it for locally in Sydney. Bare in mind due to the size/weight of springs you might not save a great deal due to postage so keep that in mind guys.

That's a good point which is why in that Project Lancer post I cited, I wanted the Works 0.5" lowering springs. Sounds good enough for me.

I mite be interested in the Eibach's depending on price & shipping to Bris. I am still trying to decide though on whether I want to just get springs, in which case Eibach's r the only one's I'd go for, or go all out & get coilovers.
