oops sorry Andros. Been really busy this past week. Loads of reports and funding documents due.

Here we go:
Eyelids:

ofey wrote:Top = ARS Set @ US$55.00 delivered. Will come unpainted since the dealer doesn't want anything to do with painting. He did it this time for the comparison. Matt Black finished. As you can see it's much more hollow. No real strength in the material. One of the eyelids had a crack in it. Poor fit and alignment seemed slightly off. Easy though to remedy.

Bottom = Scorpion/VOX set @ A$120.00 delivered. Will come color matched. He cannot guarantee the blue you have as that color doesn't exist in Sg/My. Weightier but better fitment.

MAN!!!!
You guys shouldn't slam adrian so much!!! I was VERY interested that these are infact illegal...

Same as HID's ofey - I'd be just a BIT pissed off if I bought a part from a club website thinking it was legal and then got a canarie and a fine a few weeks later! You SHOULD post if u KNOW something isn't legal - it's ok if the facts aren't known, but if you KNOW it's not legal - why not let people know? some of us DO want to keep our cars 100% legal - to some of us it's more important to have a legal car, then one with eyelids - so please let ppl like age say what they've gotta say in a thread like this - might mean a few less ppl buy these, might be more expensive for those who are group buying in some cases - but it's the principal of the thing... we should know if we're definately putting something illegal on our cars, weather it's a muffler, sub, eyelids, taillight tint - I'd be more annoyed at a muffler - don't wanna spend $500 just to be told to take it off by the cops!!!

My 2 cents

Thanks for the support Jazzy.

I think that it should be said also. Then it is up to the individual to decide if the mod is for them or not ie is it a risk they are willing to take.

Like I have said everytime, I'm not out there to put a downer on things, nor do I just jump in shouting "ILLEGAL DON"T DO IT!!!!". When the question of legality is raised, people get half-arsed answers from two or three people, then I see the question and answer it correctly.

I know if I bought a product and got done for it, without being warned about it being illegal I'd be mad as hell.

Once again, I'm not trying to be a sad sack/negative nelly/pest etc BUT when the question of legality is raised, I believe people have a right to know the correct details.

Point is well made.

I've changed the topic appropriately.

maybe ofey instead of branding each thread with *ILLEGAL* like you are thinking, you could put a disclaimer at the end of the first post? Something like this:

Any accessory, product or modification to your vehicle could be classified as illegal, depending on various laws and regulations in your country/area. It is up to you, the individual, to ascertain whether the accessory, product or modification is classified as illegal. ClubCJ nor its members or representives can be held liable for any infringements or the like associated with any products or modifications mentioned on this website or in any correspondance from it's members or representives.

Feel free to use/modify to use that one I just made up.

I always thought people would check before buying anything.
And regardless of whether something was illegal or not, people would put it on if they liked it enough.

I've put the disclaimer on the first post but you'd be surprised how many people don't read all the posts and chime in with questions when they need answers.

Oh well... .
