I'll check first thing tomorrow, the car is currently down two flights of stairs and about 750m through a myriad of paths and doors and gates.

Hello people Just check it by opening your front bonnet! It's on the bottom side of the bonnet. C'mon JUST DO IT!!

Lancer CJ roofline too curved for Shark Fin?

Postby mitsfan » Sat May 09, 2009 5:09 pm

Hi everyone,

While I think the Shark Fin antenna looks great, and would be interested in getting one, there are numerous comments on http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com with feedback from Lancer owners reporting what can be summed up by:

The back on mine is comming up and I feel like they should have taken into account the curvature of the roof and tested their product BEFORE sending it out to people.

In other words, Lancer owners are reporting either the front or the back of the Shark Fin lifting because the curvature of the rear roof line is too great to be accomodated by the self-adhesive gasket. :(

Can anyone that confirm by direct experience that this is no longer an issue?

I have this on my car and I've never had a problem with the lifting up.

The sharkfin fits perfectly if you apply it right. If you put it too far down or up, then you obviously put a strain on the attachment. Basically these people who have the lifting problem is a result of them attaching these outside of the "sweet spot".
