Glad you managed to find the issue. I was thinking the problem was something along those lines. Since mine is working as it should.

When I have the Magic Pro switch to ON, its constantly ON and not changing from ON when I turn the key. Though when I have the Magic Pro switch to OFF, and I don't have the key in the barrel the Blackvue only activates when I turn the key to ON. Though, in both instances when I turn the key to ignite the engine it always turns the Blackvue OFF then ON, due to the surge. Its like the radio being turned on before the engine goes on.
Either way, I'll give it a good look to see if what has happened to yours happens to mine. ^_^
