Hey Guys,

Can you help with advice on the best style of Alloy Wheel to dress up a White Ralliart Sedan?

Ok this is my view on the winning formula for good wheels,
1. Don't try and go too big - Most standard cars look really good with 18 or 19" wheels but the brakes are very small and they really stand out on big wheels 19" or over.
2. Pick a spoke that goes right to the edge of the wheel - it makes the wheels look bigger than they are.
3. Avoid small allen nuts around the outside - They are a pain in the arse to clean
4. Un-even number of spokes, 5, 7, 9 - 7 spokes is normally the best as they look good and still easy to clean, the more spokes the more work.
5. Any colour finish you like but if you go black make sure it has a chrome lip so you know where the wheel finishes and the tyre starts.

There is a lot more but there are a few things to think about

Oh one last thing, make sure they are the right offset. The guys on here should be able to tell you what that is if you don't know, but to get a good fit it needs to be right and some wheels shops will tell you anything to sell you a set of wheels, bottom line is if it ain't right it drives like shit.

White TE37 Rays rims in 18x8.5 with about +37 offset, you get some dish for the looks, wider track for grip and they are same size as factory so avoids heaps of legal issues and wont change your ride comfort

While I don't want to start a argument.... I wouldn't of followed the advice given..... I have 20" alloys... They look just right on the car.... While black rims are popular the trend in the USA is going away from black rims.... If it were my car I'd go 19 or 20".... It won't make the brakes look small.... And for something different I'd get colour matched (white) centres with a chrome lip..... Or if your into something more sedate I'd go silver centre or machined centre with chrome lip!... I have machined face wheels and they look good on my car!

i think 19's would suit the lancer perfect.. The CJ Lancer is pretty big compared to the old lancers.. I would of went 19's on the lancer but the cost of good tyres would of been a killer.. i had 19's on my previous ride and had semi-decent tyres on them for $300 a corner..

I got 18s on mine atm and just put on pretty good rubber for $1000 on special (Bridgestone Adrenalins RE001). If they werent on special it would of cost me around $1300+. So im guessing for 19's would costs around $1600 or so..

how about the ride comfort on 19's ? will it be much different from the 18's ?

It won't hurt the ride at all.... 19" is only one above STD.... I still think 20" wheels are the go... They look so phat!! Ride will only really suffer if you lower it

I'd love 20s on mine but I am lowering it further so I'll have to experiment with the coilovers when they are in
Want optimum setup for the track
