Nice. Great ocean rd is awesome. If you are heading through Sydney after Bathurst go via bells line of rd from Lithgow much nicer drive than the great western highway coming back over the mountains.

You read my mind, planning to turn off at Lithgow, avoid much of Sydney and go through Galston Gorge.

Galston is good but short and slow vehicles make it annoying. You could take the old pacific highway after that instead of the motorway to the central coast, that's a nice drive but they drop the speed limit from 80 to 60 after the Hawkesbury river crossing just to be fun police and make people not use it.

Yesterday parked next to another VRX, but a newer one with auto folding mirrors, looked stock, middle aged female driver. When to take a photo but my phone was dead and I didn't have my DLSR :(

BTW in NSW the Sea Cliff Bridge south of Sydney, any good spots to take a decent photo of it?

On the first post you can see the bridge in my second pic. You might get a pic with a great zoom from that spot otherwise I think you can only get close. There is a little bay just on the south side of the bridge you can stop and take pics but you are looking down the bridge.

Yeah say the south side stop but we'll be coming from that way so might stop at the Otford Lookout, even though we won't really be able to see the bridge. There is a parking stop about 10 min walk from the south end. Might stop there if we have time for a 30min stop.

I noticed you stopped on Skyline at Bathurst, aren't they trying to stop this now, or if it just advisable you don't park there?

I don't know. It was really quiet that day there were pretty much no other cars so was able to just pull over. Was able to near the start finish line for some pics too. From memory we were there pretty early in the morning.

I'm hoping to do an over night stop in town so maybe some early morning or evening shots. I guess being a public road they can't really ban it unless they put up 'no standing' signs around the track, which could be pretty dangerous on race day :)

Yeah. It was a coule of years ago that we were last there but there were no signs or anything indicating that you can't stop. There are always people stopped along the track.

Quite a few years ago my parents went there, dad thought he'd park the rental car on the nice flat 'dirt' off the side, before realizing it was a sand trap

In a rush to get it out they never did take any photos. I'll try not to do like wise :)

We were planning a drive through the Royal National Park a few weeks ago but unfortunately the Sea Bridge was close for repairs (May 17) and we were running short of time so had to skip it. Yes I know you can go around the Sea Bridge.

But at the end of the day we did get to see this!

Really wish we had time to see more and take some better photos of the CJ there.

Took these photos in the depths of South Gippsland which has a lot of places to take awesome shots of my 2014 XLS Lancer and my mates 2014 Evo! :)
