just thought i'd share with you guys my respray, going to see the guys at 2 SUS & QUEEN ST on tuesday looking at 4-6K for the job. the colours so far are
1: Black with blue pearl
2: candy red
3: black top with candy blue bottom
4: rotor glow evo spec with a pearl

Thought you were buying an EVO/Ralliart

Any pictures of the colours mentioned above?

If you don't mind answering - what is the estimated cost you are looking at for a respray?

Personally - I like the idea of the black with blue pearl

yer kym im looking at around the 7 mark due to the paint being house of kolor, and because he is a mate it's cheaper for me, got so many feakin ideas flowing through my head do i wanna go, clean, sexspec, JDM, full custom...
but this thing will turn heads for sure, the good thing is when the car is done it goes straight for a photo shoot at hot 4's and feature on the cover and a big spread, dont worry CLUB CJ will get a mention and a bog thx to ppl who have helped me with this build esp OFEY with out him my car would be pretty stock

cover car? the car will need a lot more than just a nice paint job and rims to be a cover car.. ICE/interior/performance (not just the usual intake, headers, exhaust only).. basically an all round car but you since you said hot 4's, minimal performance and a lot of the other showy mods will probably get you some sort of feature but not front cover..

Both those shops specialize in Candy. If you are NOT going Candy you can save yourself money by going to another shop.

Be sure to cover things like,

How much paint are they taking off first
What kind of high fill are they using
What kind of clear coat etc
Door jams included?
Under boot and Under Bonnet?
Engine Bay?
Windscreen mold coming off?

Remember, with Candy, if someone keys your car or you get a dent or paint chip and you want to repair, a proper repair means the whole side gets painted rather than the panel in question and maybe a blend on the next panels.

Ohh and also time frame. Whatever they tell you, double it at the very least.

Thats just my 2cents. I have been through 6 cars resprays, 3 of which i did with myself with my mate who is a painter and its a lot of work. One of the cars was Candy and the rest were heavy pearl / gunmetal colours.

Get some pics up of the colours buddy.

ok dont want to give to much away but hot 4's are mainly show car fast fours focus on performance so mods will be

paint
custom leather interior
engine mods
exhuast
new wheels
sound system
blue lighting
tail lights
cin city head lights
body kit
DBA brakes
chaasis braces
and secret suff

will keep u guys posted as it comes along

cin city have a bit of a dodgy reputation ben not to mention overly pricey. can i ask have you thought about talking to steve (iEvoVII) he's in darwin rather than the US?
