Hey guys,
I'm attending a wedding photography workshop in Melbourne by one of the best photographers (in my opinion) in Australia.
I'll be doing it on July the 4th so I could probably meet some CJers while I'm at it.
But does anyone know of any good (and cheap) places to stay?

I could probably get you a room at
Arrow on Swanston.
We house some visiting Professors to our group there and it's very nicely located with
Lygon Street behind you and a 5 minute walk to
VIC Mart. You'll also be about 7minutes from the center of the city.
They usually charge about A$100 a night for an apartment styled room. PM me if you want to get something through me.

Whenever I used to stay in Melbourne I went to this place at South Yarra -http://www.hotelclaremont.com/budget-hotel-rooms.htm
The $15 or so they charge per day for off-street car parking is reasonable and there is a tram service out the front door or train nearby if you want to use public transport to get around.

@lancervr: If you're smart about it, what some of my friends did was get a room with 2 beds and a couch and another guy brought a sleeping bag. Ended up paying A$99 for 4 guys to share a room. Abit tight but if you're on a budget it's great! Just 2 of your check in then you bring the other 2 guys back. None the wiser after!

I am sick of annoying the Brisbane members! now it's Melbourne's turn!!
plus we are going to get a wrestling ring thingy and put Adrian and Tadz up to eachother and take bets on who wins! LOL

No need for boxing ring, just send them on the trains for the day. Whoever gets back to Flinders Street alive is the winner
I know places that let you take out the ring for a while other than a carpark
