Well I have been trying to increase members here in S.A. as a lot of you know.
I organised our first cruise last week and now I have found another way.
I have placed an Advert in the South Australia Advertiser in the car section on Thursday's in the CLUB NOTES.
This is free and allows me to place anything involved with the club. I will put in the advert, cruise and meet details and the club's web address.
Next week it should have;
CLUB CJ LANCER – Cruise 6/2/10 starting on Plane Tree Drive, Adelaide at 5pm. All club related info
www.clubcj.net
I checked with Mattigins and Ozzie first to make sure advertising the club was okay with them before placing the advert.

Yep nice work mate. +1
We should look at advertising in Auto salon Mag/Hot 4's too, Have a pic of someone's car with the ClubCJ plates on it with some info about the club. It would be a worthy investment.

A picture of a whole bunch of visually modded CJ's in a car magazine with a page or two would definitely have a positive impact on popularity

Advertising the club could be very beneficial
We need submissions from members and then we would have to cost up the different proposals.
We are starting to become financially viable now, so let's hear some ideas that we can put to the committee.

That is great work aspir3.
Even if it doesn't quite work at least you are putting in the effort.
Just shows how great the people of this club are

Do you think I should ad Mitsubishi and possible 2007-2010 in the advert to help people understand the club?

Or say that it is for the current model Lancer.... people might understand better

hey
just came across this thread.
aspir3-thats a great idea, putting the ad in the paper. im so getting next weeks paper just for the ad. (ok that might sound a bit sad, but im excited about this club & getting out there & going on cruises)
an idea i have had, but dont know if it would work, is getting club cj business cards or a flyer and putting them on lancers in car parks.
i think it was u (aspir3) who said something about giving cards to the mitsi dealers to give out to customers when they get their cars serviced.
anyway just an idea to put out there

Its difficult to gauge on a parked car if the VRX owner is a car-clubber type or just a nanna/poppy who have chosen astutely...
I am not always lucky enough to catch people with their car... so my cards had little benefit toward the club.
To alleviate this, I think this idea is a great one, only pulling those in the community likely to join.
