It is pretty distracting as some say but the toggle button settles that.
Personally I think it's a unique addition. Great work Matt.
We'll have to see if its buggy in the next few weeks.

I've been trialing it for a few weeks now. i find it has been quite good actually.
the only issue I initially had was when viewing via a mobile device (iPod Touch/iPhone, Mobile Phone) but Matt set it to be OFF when viewing the site from a mobile device.
And Matt, the Google Ads still overlay over the chat...

Personally, I find it quite annoying to have it pop up and follow me whenever I scroll. I have a suggestion: when you press 'toggle' it should stay down even when you navigate to a new page, and not come back up until you press 'toggle' again? I found it a hassle to click toggle every time I went to a new page so I turned it off.
That's just my feedback It's cool though!

Remember everyone if its annoying you can turn it off by clicking Accounts > Profile> then scrolling down to Preferences.

My 2c from using ClubCJ on a normal 8.9" netbook using Chrome is that it's uber laggy. Slows down the website considerably when loading and the animation effect of it floating down the screen is painful to watch. Sorry guys, I appreciate the new feature but think I'll have to disable it. Can't even imagine how it'll look when I try loading up the page on my N97 (note: I know this site is designed to turn off floating chat on mobile devices but my N97 I believe tells websites it is a full fledged browser)!
Also note, on a netbook resolution it takes up a good chunk of the screen (maybe 1/5) and always covers the typing box.
Funnily enough it's thanks to the banner advertisement at the bottom of the page that I am able to reach the option to SAVE PREFERENCES to disable the floating chat Otherwise it would cover the button!
Good effort though guys. New features are always welcome!
Agreed. I don't wanna disable it forever but it looks like that is the easiest way.

I think this should be default off, because it appears for non-members when not logged in. Should be a feature that people choose to enable.

I agree with VRX Pete 100%.
GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR this floating chat should only be enabled if you sign in and enable it.
For visitors to the site or any member not actually logged in it is just bloody annoying esp since you cannot use it anyway.
Unless I plan on posting or checking PMs etc I usually do not log in but frequent the site often to see the latest posts.
That won't be happening in future if this is not changed.
Please Matt make the necessary changes to its functionality.
Thank you.
