Hi all,
Happened to stumble upon this wrecker in SA.
Eddy Wreckers does Mitsubishi cars exclusively for parts. This would be interesting. There is a crashed ES and Olympic Edition in their stock.

ES on Page 2, Olympic Edition on page 3.
Perhaps Ofey can do some discussion to see how much it would be? I'd be very interested (especially in the Olympic Edition one)!

I was thinking of the steering wheel considering my full leather interior would be complete.
They are selling a Nardi steering wheel for a magna plus gear knob for $950 so I dont like my chances!!
I might ring them and see how much the grilles are, if they are still intact!!

Too slow boys.
That olympic ed is stripped already. That's the one you're seeing now in cjsig's ride. You can go check if you want. They are very old ads.
I know the boys at Eddy Wreckers very well. I get first dibs. They just can't be asked to update their website.
And no the grills are no longer in tack, it was a complete smash of the front thus written off. Everything got smashed in on the front till the strut bar.
I got the following for cjsig that time:
1. Strut Bar
2. All leather seats front and back (Not just the leather but the whole seat)
3. All interior Door trims
4. Center console + Steering wheel
5. MMCS + wiring harnesses
6. Rockford Forsgate system + wiring harnesses
7. All 4 VRX wheels with only 1800KM travel
Total incl. delivery was A$6500.00
Wreckers are not that cheap either but better than paying full price.

I will just get my ES wheel retrimmed. That way I can get the stitching to match my seats. I also have a VRX gearknob at a mates that I want to get retrimmed.
I think $6500 for all that stuff is a pretty good deal really. There would have been quite a cost in the shipping.

Considering that the RF system is usually A$1.9K and the MMCS adds about A$3K, I thought cjsig got a bargain. Mitsu claim that each leather wrap costs A$999 or at least that's what they want to sell it for as a part.
I just had a chat with PMR when I went to make this week's goods run and both of us agreed that now ppl have less idea of the value of things. He cited the e.g. of someone coming in on the weekend asking for A$20K trade in value on a base model '05 Astra. It's worth A$14K on car domain and you can get a brand new base model astra for about A$20K.
I was mentioning also that some people believe their A$10 bill is worth more than your A$10 bill.
I think people need to attach some kind of consideration to the value of things. Yes we're all in it to get things at its cheapest price possible but its ridiculous to pass off something you buy for A$28K five years ago as a A$20K item today.
I hope ppl just get more realistic.
