DAMMIT!!!! i was merging on a motorway and missed a friggin '09 Triton in my blind spot. he scraped up the side of my car. drivers side door and front fender are all messed up, mirror was smashed off. plus the damage to his car. thank god i got comprehensive insurance but the $1000 excess will be a major dent in my pockets.

could have been worse , you could have collected your rim on the way through and snapped your axle inturn you could have spun out of control and into a tree and or flipping your car creating a multi car pile up and being the news headlines at 6pm

yeah it def coulda been a lot worse im glad im ok and my passenger as well, one of my best friends was in the car with me. i dunno if i can afford to get shadows mirrors right now. i cant afford the excess my parents will have to pay for it and ill pay em back.
thing is this particular road comes from an 80 motorway to a 60 zone towards the end, so im trying to merge into the 60 zone doing maybe 60-70 but people are still doing 80 instead of slowing down.

I came close to cutting someone off... It's those dam side mirrors... Cars appear further then they are. I'm used to this on the passenger side, but not the drivers side.
Does anyone know if the folding mirrors from shadows also have the same type of mirrors fitted, or is the drivers one a normal mirror ?
