NEW MODEL LANCER NOT DUE UNTIL 2016!!

I am posting this as a new topic with extra links for everyone out there who has been waiting until 2014 for the new Lancer model to become available if they were thinking of upgrading or waiting to buy a new model one.
News stories on numerous websites this past week or 2 re future Mitsu plans straight from the company senior managers speaking at Tokyo Motor Show have laid out plans for the company’s new aims and models for the next 3 yrs.

A new global "C model" car, ie the new Lancer is lowest priority and unlikely to see the light of day until 2016!!
This would explain the lack of any concept cars at any recent major shows and no camouflaged test vehicles being seen or photographed anywhere in the world for what will again be a globally sold car given the previously often quoted 2014 release date by the company.

The next model Evo XI, IF it is in fact built will definitely be a PHEV, ie a Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. That was confirmed too in several articles on numerous sites. Eg-
