Saw that article when it came out. Now my car is a collectable :)

Around Brisbane at least, I'd say there is a 50/50 split of Ralliarts between sedan and sportback that I see on the road. Dunno why there is a perception that the hatch is uncommon.

sucks there loosing the sportback ralliart especially because it is the main rival for the focus XR5 and Cruise SRI-V hatches

See the ES badge is gonna be no longer just basic and they are changing the interior to pretty basic.....glad i bought my ES now

lot's of changes but im glad mitsi are doing well in australia still so means more CJ's to come :p

also theres talk of a new lancer hybrid!! :D

Ralliart is a rival for a Cruze?

Either you're trolling, or you are one stupid dude.

hopefully mitsubishi are going back to the origin of the ralliart and make it actually function for rally......
both mitsubishi and subaru died off from the wrc which is a real shame

It also says the dual clutch variant ia gone for the base model evolution. Is that talking about the gsr cause I didn't think they came with sst anyway or are they referring to something else

umm that was a bit harsh...... i was speaking in terms of hot hatches that are turbos.....ralliart sportback is 40k, focus ST $34k Cruze SRI-V $30k

Wow somebody in this thread is butthurt. :P I would consider the SRi-V and ralliart sportback in the same category as well, just at opposite ends.

I love how it says ES's don't come with ES badges anymore hahaha.

I thought Mitsu had been doing a good job at adjusting their prices and bringing out new trims etc (ignoring the lack of a true facelift) but de-specing your base-model car is a bit strange to me. Won't that push down the value of the older ES's even more?

I know the ES is always the base model but I would've slotted in another under it instead of nerf it... They better be coming out with some impressive pricing then.

Also sounds like they might be trying to avoid any continued costs with SST warranty claims after this gen stops production.

As said, people need to remember that Aus isn't the only market. Mitsu is still pretty unpopular in America I think, and the sportback isn't even sold in a lot of places, and it almost certainly costs more to make than the sedan despite being sold at the same price.
