Get it to Mitsubishi ASAP. Hopefully just something simple relating to fuel, air or spark but they will put the computers on it.

Yeah take it to Mitsu. This sounds way worse than my one-off rough idle lol.

If you have a good service manager they should slot you in straight away. I had rough idling and noisy injectors the other day but thankfully turns out was just a bad batch of fuel, Mitsubishi slotted me in that morning when it's normally eg two week wait for service. Good luck!

Do you have any mods done? Check MAF sensor if is plugged in (unplug and plug back) Reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery! If that doesn't work take it to Mitsu, it could be: fuel pump or fuel pump relay or MAF sensor gone,
sounds like is struggling to mix up the fuel with air!
Good luck and keep us updated!

O2 sensor suppose to be replaced at 100.000km so it could be that too, the wholes on the sensor are covered with carbon residue and it send wrong info to ECU

Probably not under warranty, it would be the same as your air filter getting clogged.
Was this on a cold start or had the engine been running for hours.
remember that not everything gets logged.
If the fault can be easily re-produced it becomes easier for the techs to solve. as opposed to no fault found after waiting 2 hours.

I have had this when I was running the local brand of E10 without a tune.
The engine would knock for 5 seconds every now and then on a cold start. till the ECU decided to advance\retard the timing.
After that round of fuel i went back to 91RON and the problem faded away, presumably as the remaining E10 was diluted with 91 over time.

But yes as stated before, check the MAF and O2

If the car is over 120.000km i think is not covered anymore, the warranty is 5 years or 120000km!
Someone correct me if i'm wrong

Ok update.... Took it to Elizabeth Mitsubishi they believe it was just a one off as they tend to think it was a computer glitch as it has not done it again ... The idle is controlled by the computer system there for due to the service being done by them and not north east who I normally use they tend to believe that it's was the car adjusting (best way of putting it) to there service as both dealerships service the cars differently and use different products in the engine ( which surprises me a little )

With that mind the car has not been as sluggish as it has been when I got it serviced by north east it's has a bit more get up and go , so I'm going to see how it goes over the next couple of weeks and if it does it again ill take it in , if not then that's a bonus
