Yeah yeah... after much hate...

never mind me trying to help some possible infringements.. :P

ATTENTION: NSW & ACT (that i know of)

For the last few months driver distraction laws have been discussed.

It is now formal Law that anyone caught eating or drinking while driving is heavily fined and possible demerits.

Just a heads up to anyone whop didnt know.

This includes a bottle of water.

as you can imagine, like everything else there is hardly any information on it.

Going with that the cop said to my mum, you'd be looking at fines similar to using your phone.

Thats a tad harsh, considering i think it would be more dangerous to talk and drive than it is to take a drink of water/ eat food...

I think it's a terrible idea. Drinking and snacking while driving is sometimes the only thing that keeps me awake and paying attention after a long day or training session. Gives sugar boost.

This will eat into Macca's profits, as it will make drive-thru's pretty-much useless...

I agree on this. Especially when I do long distance drives.

the thing is with all of these new laws they have one thing in common.
1 of your hands is not on the steering wheel there for you get fined.

where is the driver education courses funded by the government?
where are the advertisements and leaflets informing all registered vehicle owners that there has been a change in the rules.
At least when PAYPAL changes its T's & C's i get a nice e-mail...
I shouldn't have to find by word of mouth.
