Question: Will a bike fit in my sedan??

Postby Ezza_1989 » Fri Sep 14, 2012 12:30 pm

Public transport is a fail here, so have to use my car. If I lay the seats down will it fit?? And will I have to take the front wheel off? Want to avoid that if I can...

If you take the front wheel of it might. My mountain bike I tried to put it in the boot with seats down and leave the wheel on and it didn't fit. I haven't tried taking the wheel off yet. There is roof racks for bike that can go on lancers too.

Yea you can fit it in. I had my mountain bike in there with the seats down. Just gotta take the front wheel off. Bit of maneuvering and it will fit.

Do you have a factory sub? Or is is aftermarket and in a big box? Factory one off to the side would be ok. My bike didn't go over to that side.

Yep - take the front wheel off and pop it in! Found it is easier front forks first as the pedals are the things which tend to get caught under the parcel shelf as it sits pretty low. Can just spin them back a touch and it fits fine
All bleeding stops eventually!

Get a sportback :)

I can fit a rear bumper in mine (bearing in mind the bumpers for our cars are massive) with a 12" Sub in a massive ported box.

I don't think I'd have any issues with a bike haha.
