Haikus are poems of 5 syllables, then 7, then 5:and may be extended with patterns of 7 and 5 So ->
There once were some pies (5 s),
which had no lack of flavour(7 our),
Mrs Macs her name! (5 ame)

...But if you don't accept Japanese Haikus, I've extended it:

So do yourself a favour(7 our),
Toss the imposters(5s),
For they are so lame(5 ame)

So go and wake your neighbour(7 our)
worship the makers (5s)
of Aussie Pie fame!(5 ame)
