Thanks guys. Haven't really thought about mods yet, probably just a k&n panel filter during the first year hehe.

**NOOB ALERT**

Are the panel filters you speak of the simple 'drop-in' air filter? Do you guys think its really worth getting one? What sort of price are they and where do I get one?

yes the panel filters are drop in, definitely worth the $100 or so!

Gives you better fuel consumption and slight increase in performance! Even better to get an aftermarket muffler to really notice the difference!

Make sure u have a look at the different types available. As the are many diffrent preferences on this site alternatively to K&N. I am using a Blitz panel filter. It is made from cotton therefor no oiling which removed the chances of destroying your MAF sensor!

thanks for the info Andros, better fuel consumption is great, better performance is just the icing on the cake ;) might have to save my pennies and invest in one when my car finally arrives (hopefully in a day or 2!)

Hey guys, I pulled the trigger on a Activ sedan manual in black today.
I am also having the front windows tinted, to match the privacy glass in the back, floor mats and have traded the 16" alloys and tires for 4 Falken ZE 192 215/45R18 to go onto the 18" VRX wheels I will be supplying.
Should be about a week until I can pick it up.

I will post up some pics a little later.

Just a question regarding these filters, what sort of changes in real world will they make? % wise on fuel consumption and kw output?

Thanks in advance.

Gidday all - yep.... another new guy.
I pick up my new Activ on Monday.
White sedan.
Front windows tinted to match privacy tint at rear.
Update 16" alloys to a set of 18's
Normal audio system will come out and a new Kenwood double din goes in. facia kit and modules from Stinger.
Did I see someone somewhere write that changing wheels and updating the audio can void different aspect of the warranty?

Cheers

Welcome Mate,

You would be unlucky for wheels to affect.

If you change your headunit and a speaker blows, chances are Mitsu won't fix etc etc.

Make sure you introduce yourself in the new members section. ScraverX is our Mod in the ACT. He will be happy to see another Canberra member :D

Had to do abit of research on the head unit. Had to get an extra module so that I can still use the audio controls on the steering wheel.
Unfortunately, the bluetooth on the side of the wheel will become inactive as the bluetooth is incorporated in the old head unit.
Was thinking of an all in one double din inc GPS, bluetooth, DVD but end up going without the GPS component.
I'll have a look in the new members area shortly and post an intro in there.
Cheers
