I have noticed that, particulary when i look at old photos of previous cruises,i noticed a lot of usernames that i dont recognise that dont post anymore or who have since left the club.

Would it be possible to delete members who have been inactive for a certain period?? sounds too harsh maybe??

We practice a culling of accounts every few months. So yes we've been doing that for awhile now.

Standard practice i guess?? i dunno was just a suggestion,im a member of other forums (not car related) and they have a rule where inactive members are deleted after a specified time 3,6 months whatever it may be. :) If they wish to get back on the forum again they have to re-register

Inactive members may have their accounts deleted, but posts they've made to the board in months/years gone by will remain - I guess they have to so old threads make sense.

Bahahaha... Dead set. That was an epic read ! Unfortunately these sort of comments do not surprise me what so ever ! My career has seen many types like this worst one's are doing a job for someone eg. it's a $3,000 WAP (White Ant Prevention Recently) job (not kidding either this happens on a REGULAR basis) mind you and they have the hide to tell you (once we've finished the job).

Oh I'll send you a cheque on Friday when i get paid ???
WTF ???
We've ended up in court various times due to such incompetent people. I just suggest handing over to debt collectors (we get paid n now it's their problem !!!). They turn their lives upside down.
Cancelled car rego, accumulating debt, mortgage seizures etc...

Not our problem. Don't buy what you can't afford. You don't see me walking into JB putting a 65" Plasma on a trolley and simply walking out with an excuse such as "oh I'll send you a cheque" !!! Pffft...

Keep up the good work mate and remember to always keep your eye out for fakes.

This so reminds me of selling a car on ebay. Car on ebay for $3200. Series 1 RX7. Red. Registered. Actually goes. The amount of messages you get asking you to accept $1000 and when you say no the amount of c*** you get slung at you (especially when they realise you're a woman) about how you'll never sell it if you don't sell it to them and other choice things. And then when you do drop the price for someone they want to pay $500 less and then less again. 3 months I put up with tyre kickers and a*holes who wanted to get a classic beauty for nicks and who tried to bully me into selling it to them.

Jacqui, not a pleasant experience from the sounds of it. :( Unfortunate that things like this happen. Hopefully, the RX7 found a nice home and is in good hands.

In the end, it's a reminder of the crap some people have to put up with when people try and do the right thing by them (and even helping them out).
