Possible new Number Plates Law for NSW

Outta interest what happens at an inspection in 3 years? Will they note it down?

It is actually 5 years now for new cars in NSW.

They will do a pink slip, and will note anything you have to rectify for it to pass.

The head mechanic this morning informed me that if my plate was not in the manufactures original position that he could not pass my car for rego, and if I was caught on the road I will be up for $220 fine.

I have not had time to actually find this new law on the web but I was told the RTA and police are looking at being very hard on this in the future.

i know this is an old thread.. but did they ever implement these laws? im about to zip tie my front plate to the lower grill after getting my blackout done

As far as im aware these laws never came into effect and if they did niether me or my boss were informed of it.

So Chubb if you worried when the five years is up come see me ill pass your car hahaha

hehe thanks peanut I am not too worried mate, 5 years is a long way away the cops seem to have no issue about it at all.
