When you park the lancer beside the outlander its nearly as long and the wheelbase is almost identical! Not to mention the engine sounds the same when you drive it LOL! Anywho its mainly the width which is different.
It sure will be FWD - Mitsu will bring it here now as the tarriff on non-4WD vehicles is dropping to match 4WD imports. A 2WD version of the Outlander is not beyond possibility either.
The floorpan of Lancer/Outlander are near identical (out by a few mm only) - and the engine and gearboxes are the same (2.4L in 4cyl. Outlander is the same engine as in the Lancer VRX and Aspire.
