Also tweaked the shoutbox so it reloads every 5 seconds instead of 2, this will reduce the load on our database..

Also tweaked the who online on the home page to reload every 3 seconds instead of 0.5

Do they even need to be that frequent? Don't know about others but I dont need to see who's online refresh every 3 seconds, even the shout box could be say every 10 or 15 seconds and probably more than adequate. Look at the past history and no one ever seems to hastily enter message after message...

Whose online should be 15min, that is pretty much a forum standard.

Shoutbox hardly ever gets used as Ryan said so 15-20secs would be fine.
