wow
The turbo models have Aluminium bonnets. They are half the weight of the steel one.
Sleeper and Megatron are using one strut each from a NA Lancer set.
I got these ones and I'm using both struts on my Ralliart Aluminium bonnet. They do Steel bonnet struts as well:

anghel123 got a set from Body Kits Kingdom and they work on his steel bonnet.
The bonnet does open higher than the stock stick setup
Great mod! Must have!
Enjoy

Here's the steel bonnet one, the picture is the wrong car, although the details seem right.

Thanks for the info and link Marcus, i will try them.
My original struts came from Body Kits Kingdom was advised that they would be fine for RA bonnet. Other members tell me that they have used 1 strut from BKK with out any problem, however this was not the case for me
Even only installing 1 strut was unable to close the bonnet. Hence, removed it before I did any damage.

Most come pre-charged, but they can be changed to suit the weight of the bonnet. Too much pressure and it wont close and too little pressure and the bonnet wont lift or stay up.[/quote:98ebb4b3a4] Thanks Jason, you dont happen to know of anyone here in Adelaide who could do this and what the recommended level of charge is for the RA bonnet?
There was a place around glenelg that rebuilt and re-charged gas struts but I have not used them for a couple of years.
A quick search and it appears the company at Glenelg is still going( strut re-gas 82955596) and there is now a mobile company, strut master, which may be more convenient. 1800243888.
