Our keys can be a bit fiddly but thats worse than mine. Mine either comes out or it doesn't, I don't have to jiggle it. I'd be very careful how much force you use.
Honestly it could just be a 'you're doing it wrong' thing but if its not I'd be thinking about replacing it, especially if you've under warranty still.

I cant see it being a good thing. If its under warranty have a chat to the dealership maybe? My experience with WD40 is that its more of a temp thing then a real solution.

I have this exact issue Erin.

Mine turned out to be because I was using the spare key and hadn't been ground down over use.

Used my 'Spare Key' which turned out to be the previous owners main key and that worked fine!
Sportback... because everything sexy needs an ass!

Don't use wd-40 on a lock unless it is completely seized.

Go to a lock smith and get a lock lubricant. I believe it is a dry graphite powder.

All door and ignition locks should be lubricated every service.
