Vr lancer wheels question

Postby Chimby » Sat Feb 26, 2011 2:33 pm

Hey guys I have a vr lancer and I'm wanting to put 18" wheels on it, I was wondering what the best offset is for the car and also how big in tyre can I go?

Thanks

Stick as close to 46mm offset as you can. The lower your offset the more your wheels will be closer to your gaurds. Depending on what offset your wheels are can determin how wide you can go. Usually a 225/40/18 tire with a 18x7.5 rim and a 45mm offset will get you nice and close to the guards but wont cause any sort of rubbing or scraping issues.

Hope that helps mate :)

I think max width you can go is 8.5" with a 45 offset... but personally I wouldn't go any higher than a 8.0".

Thanks heaps for the help guys, I originally wanted to go with 18x8 but have been told by several people that 18x7.5 is the most I can go so yeah.

Very helpful info
