I'm so heartbroken right now...

Postby konnect4 » Fri Dec 03, 2010 12:25 pm

So I finally received my X-Factor design Evo X wing in the mail, christmas had come early for me! Imagine how disappointed I was when I saw this...

I did buy insurance though, so I guess I'll contact Shadows about where we go from here. I guess Xmas will have to wait a bit more :(

Better you spot it now rather than after you drilled holes!

I must say though, the overall quality of the wing is excellent, it feels really solid, and everything seems to line up great with the guide holes on the boot! This really is an excellent product, and well worth the price, I just hope I get this sorted somehow. :)

According to Shadows I now have to file some sort of damage report with the post office. I've never heard of Australia Post doing such a thing, but will hopefully work this out soon. I wonder what happens, do I send this back and get a new one? Or do I get a refund? ...ahh so many questions.

I had a parcel damaged by Australia post and they refunded the total purchase price. You will have to fill out some paper work to make a claim. It may take some time to get a refund, as they will want to see the damage.
I also got to keep the damaged part. If it is repairable you can sell it later

Did you have to bring the actual part back? Or are photos enough evidence? 'Cos the damn wing is so hard to lug around, lol.

It was only a small package and I had to take it down the local post office with the form for them to check it out.

Did they give you a report on the spot? Cos the post office staff attendent seemed to just want to get rid of me, gave me a form and envelope and told me to send the forms, along with photograph to their customer support centre.
