Aussie Dollar Forcast to go to $1.15 US ($0.95 now)

Postby RibbandsJM » Wed Sep 22, 2010 5:53 pm

My dad is a bit of a nut case with stocks and forex, he got an update from his banker than if Australia gets double interest rate rises in the coming months(which is also predicted), the aussie dollar is going to go to $1.15 USD which will be good news for all of us wanting stuff from the states

just food for thought if you were wanting to buy from the states in the near future

That would be fantastic if it did. Time to really start saving now, just incase it does :)

If they interest rates area already accounted for already, then the dollar won't rise as substantially as that.
I think we've had people say we'd hit parity several times over the past couple of years.

If it gets there, it's only predictions, it was predicted that at midnight on the 1 January 2000 all computers were supposed to blow up, look how well that worked out

They said it would reach parity earlier this year wasn't it? Then when it started edging towards there it came crashing back down to 80cents. So don't hold your breath on it hitting $1.15....

The "savings" from O/S purchases when dealing with a few cents shift either way is not going to make a world of difference. Unless you're buying stuff in the thousands of dollars.
I doubt it will hit over $1 any time soon (next couple of months), it will hit that psychological resistance point....

Go buy now, it's good enough. :D Get some toys for your car and enjoy life....

ticket price won't really change, but everywhere in the world is pretty cheap now due to the Aussie dollar strength

Hmmm..... very skeptical about this. All my study doesn't seem to match this statement above. I shall wait and see if I am proved wrong.

If proved wrong, I hope I'll have a good enough job to buy, buy, buy :)
