My dad and i both had our 1500km service at liverpool mcgrath. He didnt say much about it, i was a bit unsure about the whole thing. Not sure they actually did anything =S i thought they would actually do something, but they didnt. I had to leave by 12pm, so at about 11.15 i asked how long and they said we will get it done now. 15mins later it was done...

to be honest im not sure if they are supposed to do anything first service, but i thought they may change the oil or something...running in a new engine and all

My dads actually getting his 15k service done at livo soon, will update on that when its done

Went to see Jason on Saturday spent most of the day there, he gave me the keys to an MY09 VR said go for a drive come back when you want.

Drove it for about 45 minutes there was some good hilly roads in the area.
Sat down with him to discuss prices.

Ended up offering a good price on trade in and on a blue Activ sedan.

About an hour after leaving he rang said they actually may not have any Activ manual sedans in stock and offered me an Alto Signature model.

I decided to suck it up and sent an email through to Steve Jarvin, they came back with $500 more than Alto, I told them I'll think about it but I already had a better offer.

At this stage they were being very nice.

45 minutes later Steve Jarvin rang said they would match it, an hour later I signed & left a deposit for a
MY10 Lancer Activ Sedan in Cool Silver Metallic still had all the plastic on it etc

Sales guy thanked me for calling him back to match it and threw in a set of floor mats.

Just need to get finance finalised.....

Have got some pics but dont want to get overly excited until the finance is 100%
Should be by this afternoon.

So you end up buying at Alto or Steve Jarvin?

Sorry I should add,

Jason Ho's service at Alto was fantastic as everyone else has mentioned, the only reason I did not go through him was that he didn't have any Activ Sedans in Manual left.

Getting excited it's all slowly coming together.

Got all the documents to finalise the loan together.
Spoke to the dealer who said car will be ready Thursday afternoon.

If I get the documents through and the contract sorted quick enough I should be in it Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

=)

Hey mate, are you happy to share how much you paid drive away with the mats? I'm looking at getting one and would just like a baseline to compare prices.

It worked out about $21,900 with the metallic paint and floormats.
I only wanted to get the paint and the mats thrown in for free as I was more interested in negotiating a good trade in price for my corolla.

Dealers wont negotiate much on the activ's anymore as there sweet f all left in the country and there not getting anymore in. I really wanted the blue but no one had them and another dealer said there was 2 or 3 left in the state, not sure how true this is.

Out of 3 dealers...
1 had 1 red 1 silver and 1 mystic blue in stock
1 had only 3 auto sportbacks left
the last had nothing at all left and could only offer the ES with their own option pack.

I noticed your from Brisbane hopefully theres a few more up there.

*Just thrown a few pics up in the Garage*

Hi Clem, I'm more than happy to share with everyone here on ClubCJ. Is definitely not the cheapest mentioned here on ClubCJ but I'm very happy with what I paid. Lance VR-X (Manual) with mats and front tinting $28000 drive away.

You don't need to have the cheapest price, as long as your happy with what you paid is all that matters.

28 grand drive away is a pretty good price!

I saw a 2008 2 litre VRX for sale with 54,000 km on it and the dealer wants 27 thousand bucks for it!! (it is an auto though....).

Someone did mentioned here at ClubCJ that they got it for $27K. But anyway I reckon mine was a good price and I'm very happy.
