Yo Yo everyone!!
Ive gotta change my reverse lights due to a small accident with my old sub box.
I want to get some LED reverese lights and I know there was a group buy a while back on them but not too many people got into it.
Im just trolling fleebay at the moment and i was just thinking about picking up a set of these...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-x-24-LED-3156- ... 482wt_1137
I was thinking aswell, while im getting some new reverse lights, i might aswell get some new brake lamp bulbs, LED aswell.
Any downfalls to doing this? are they the same T20 bulb?
I want the reverse light as bright as possible, i think the group buy ones were 62 LED's. I cant find anything on ebay for the T20 bulb with 62 LED's. Anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Wouldnt that bulb be a bit long? I was going to bid on it aswell, but decided not to just in case. Let me know if it fits and ill pick one up i rekon.
As for the brake light bulbs n stuff like that aswell, is it still the T20 bulb? Do i get the white T20 or red T20?

Michael do not change the brake light bulbs.
Too bright can be really distracting for other drivers. I personally get upset at those stupid rear tail fog lights.
The LED globes may affect you ECU as well because they use less power.
I believe Ofey and Chubb have the reverse light globes in there cars, so I assume they are not too long.

yeah my reverse lights are 60 LED I think could be 62, and just fit with some room so I guess a 68 LED would not be much bigger.

If you want to get LED brake/tail and indicators just be careful - the car's computer will chuck a wobbly and think that you;ve blown bulbs everywhere as the LED doesn't have enough resistance.
Also consider the diffusing of the light housing. Sometimes the LED bulbs are too directional compared to incandesent and don't appear bright enough at the rear. I think a lot of these newer SMD LED 'bulbs' that have the LEDs going all the way around mostly solve this issue though.

Well, ill just wait for blakey to get his and see if his fit and see how bright they are. Ive already bought some new filament bulbs, for when i get the replacement bulb holders which ill order today, but been meaning to get some LED bulbs to aid my reverese camera which is absolutley terrible at night

tadz this is what the bulbs look like during the day,
this is what the bulb looks like
there is allot of room spare still, about 3cm spare id say after the 5cm bulb.
i cant tell how bright they are as i haven't looked at them at night, or done much night driving since i put them in, but ill try to get a night pic if you need more on them,
And they are a 68LED

Hmm, what I find with LED bulbs is that whilst they look much brighter.. I find that they don't penetrate or have much distance in lighting compared to halogens.
