Moisture inside headlights

I've noticed some moisture inside my headlights since Installing angel eyes (obviously I've not sealed them up properly and it needs fixing ) but was wondering how bad this is?
I understand that the bulb can blow if exposed to moisture and stuff, but how long would it take for it to blow? When I hit a kangaroo and it smashed open my headlight the HID blew after 5 minutes of direct exposure but the high beam was going strong until literally a month or so ago (dodgy auto repairer didn't replace the high beam when they replaced the headlight..)
I was just wondering because fixing my angel eyes would be "low priority" as taking out the headlights is a lot of work but I don't want to blow globes because that would be even worse safety-wise, not to mention I'd need to buy another set of HID's.
Any info is appreciated
