Hi guys,
Just wondering, anyone got LED lights for their rear rego plates? If so, where and how much did u get them for? Pics would be nice too
.
Blew the left side light the other night (dunno how), my car is only 6 months old, which is a bit odd, and was wondering if i should just replace it with an LED panel.
Also, does anyone know what code the light is, so that if i don't decide to go with LEDs, i can just go get the replacement bulb?
Thanks guys!

I have LEDs in mine. I og them from
www.brightlightautoparts.com
I only buy my LEDs from there now, as they are top quality and the service can't be beat. There are a few others on here that also buy from them. Avoid the ebay trash, as they don't last that long, compared to Bright Light's LED globes.
The shape is T10 Wedge, and there are 2 of them. White is legal, other colous are not, so choose carefully.
Also I recommend a inverted style or multi-LED style, like the ones shown below. This helps the spread of the light, as LEDs are quite directional.

SIR-VRX hit the nail on the head.
Me and a friend have blue T10 lights in the read license plate, I have been pulled over by the police a few times and on every occasion they haven't mentioned anything but twice they've told me off for my blue parkers which have been changed.
(I changed them to white then put the blue back in for a cruise and got pulled up on the way to the cruise with the blue parkers..)
Pic is too big for forum, instead of using image tags i'll link it here..

I guess it's white for me then.
I'm on my P's so they will definitely pull me over
. How many LED's did you need to illuminate your rego plate? It looks great and very bright!

The rear plate has two bulbs so two LED's are what I used, you just need a screwdriver to undo the housing for them, take 'em out then swap 'em over and you're done

Excellent choice Sir-VRX...
Went to the factory to pick up some of those u recommended. $17 for 2 sets (in case one blows)
Took about 1/2 hr to install properly and align them, and they look awesome!
They look so aggro now, looks like the taillights are angry eyes, and the LEDs bright shiny teeth
I got the xenon whites, btw.
+1 for u, Sir-VRX!

LED should be standard by now in cars... halogen are the worst hangover, from a bygone era...

It might be in the manual.. I know it tells you how to replace most bulbs in there?

Smallish Philip's head screwdriver required... 1x screw on each light housing...
plug and play, wedge style bulb socket - easy install.... As above.... LED replacements would be the best T10 or 164 bulbs required.
