angel eyes question

Postby criteek » Wed Jun 10, 2009 10:05 pm

Sorry if this has been asked before, but i plan on doing this tomorrow and was wondering whats the best way to tap into the low beam lights.

I've heard about just opening up the wire where u can and tap into it like that, or i've heard about going up to the fuse box.

whats the best method?

thanks :)

Nutterbug knows all about the angel eyes, hopfully she gets online, if not PM her.

I can suggest that you just plug it into the back of the harness on the back of your low beam head lights. You can run it to your headlight fuse, but you will need a fuse tap if you want to do it correctly.

I think nutterbug tapped the ignition cables, so the angel eyes on her ride are on all the time when the car is on.

Yeah mine are on ignition so they're on all the time. I reckon it looks good and having it wired to the lights ruins their effect a little because the lights are a different colour to the eyes.

I didn't actually wire them in but I can find out for you if you decide to go the ignition way

yeah dont think I want them on all the time, just with the low beams. Not that I know what I'm doing but i was playing around with the fuses today and for the life of me i couldn't find one that controlled the corner lights (pole lights) so i guess i'll just have to tap into the wire

I suspect the BMW ones are also done with ignition. That was the intention of the angel eyes in the first place.

i suggest wiring it with the parker lights, that way you can turn them on without the low beams on during times like twilight, they stay on when you turn on low beam after that too. that leaves u with the option of taking ur parker lights out so u just have the eyes by themself. If you look at a post i made somewhere in members car gallery theres a pic of my angel eyes on with my parkers

I love infinites ones too but really, they're much too dear. I simply can't justify it.

agreed it is a top quality install- looks factory/OEM and of a very very very high standard. but like ofey mentioned, $400 including install is still pretty steep for what is essentially something which is 99% look (and doesn't really improve upon the standard features of the car such as say, an HID installation).
