Switchback LEDs

Postby byzon3 » Fri Jul 19, 2013 1:35 pm

Hey all,

Just keen to see if anyone has Switchback LEDs installed in their car?

I think these look great especially with our headlights having such a large section closed off for the blinker.

Not a fan of those cheap looking style DRL's(the basic line ones) Even Euro makers are moving away from that style due to cheap replicas.

Saw an Evoque the other day had like 3 seperate DRL patterns in the one headlight(Good luck anyone copying that)

I think its a pretty simple change with quite a good effect as a DRL wihtout being the dated line style DRL

I have them.

They are cool.

No idea how to set them up. I basically just plugged them in.

Sweet Yeah really like that look

oh thats great news if you just plugged them in,
that proabably means the leds you put it have in-build resistors, so it doesnt hyperflash.

In that case I buy ones with resistors and see how I go

yeah um I should clarify.

Speedie put them together himself. It does use resistors for each bulb, but I can't tell you specifics.

I'm not using the kit you linked, so I have no idea about that.

If you follow the rules around DRLs you shouldn't have any problems. Deactivate when headlights are on. They already turn the white off when they flash amber.
