Compatibility...07 Lancer same as 08-13?

Hey all just want smthg clarified cause its confusing me a lot...
So whenever i look at parts (mainly lighting hence why it is in the lighting forum) the compatibility for the lancer is usually "08-13"
My lancer is an 07 lancer (VR if it matters) so I'm just wondering whether or not the lights are all compatible with mine as well cause its not an "08-13" Lancer so i don't wanna buy smthg i can't fit on my car
